The Fallen Trilogy

Act I

I was on top of the world.
Mortals bowed before me.
The wind was my chariot,
The seas, my bed.
I walked the golden corridors of the Sun,
And bathed in the silver waters of the Moon.
Yes, I once ruled the world.

I once walked the borders of reality,
Amongst my friends, Darkness and Chaos.
Alas, I trailed to close to the latter,
My heart succumbs to the former.
Chaos engulfed my body.
Darkness swallowed my heart.
Out of this union, He was born.

He traveled with me for awhile.
He held me close, comforted me.
Loved me and protected me.
He was my soul, my life, my shield.
Then… he was gone.
And I was alone.

Once, there was a time,
Where right and wrong were clear.
The world was not ravished by war and famine.
Ah, but… that is not my time.
No, I am on top of the world.
I am man, and I am alone.
I am Fallen.

Act II
See how the mighty strive?
How they fight for their foolish views of justice?
Oh how I laugh.
There weak bodies, finally succumbing to my might.
As do all, as do all.

I am the seventh element, conqueror of all.
Never have I met one who could outlast me.
I am of legends: past, present, and future.
Many have seen my wrath.
None have survived it.

I was here at the first.
Before that even, perhaps,
I cannot remember.
All things past through me.
I am almighty, subject to no one’s whim.
All have Fallen to me.
Yet… one thing pesters me.
What is my purpose?
Why am I here?
What is the source of my might?
But... Most of all…
Who am I?
And why do I not Fall?

Act III

Sorrow and loathing,
Misery brothers,
Heed my words.
Do you know what makes us all the same?
Do you see the things in us that none can see?
I do.
Allow me to enlighten you.

Thrice the time I can count,
Where these things enter our souls.
Once upon the loss of love.
Once upon the loss of joy.
Once upon the loss of light.
Tell me, brother, are you enlightened?

Twice, and thrice again I count,
The times where we project them.
Once upon the young
Once upon the dreamers
Once upon the innocent
Once upon the weak
Once upon the old
Never is there a time where one is free of them.

These equalizers, these masters of fate,
Who are they?
Do you know brother?
Do you know what makes us fall?
Do you know the very essence,
The essence… of the Fallen?
