I miss your smile that brought a glow to my face
I miss how you would wrinkle your nose when you laughed
I miss how your eyes would sparkle with happiness
I miss how you would take me for who I am

Why can't we go back to the way things were?
Why can't you love me for who I am?
Why can't we be friends again?
Why can't we go back to the way things were?

I miss the long talks we had
I miss the walks we had
I miss the times when we would sit in silence
I miss how we liked each other for who we were

Why can't we go back to the way things were?
Why can't you love me for who I am?
Why can't we be friends again?
Why can't we go back to the way things were?
