i never really knew

Who was the one who fell so suddenly,

in the shield of the night?

And who is the one,

who with him took joy?

Who is the one who all these tears are for?

i don't know.

I never did.

I heard him everyday.

I saw him on his skateboard,

but never really knew him.

Never knew his favourite food,

his favourite game.

I never knew him.

But, whoever he is,

everyone must really miss him,

to shed all these tears.

Maybe he could have been anything,

I never knew him,

and now i never will.

Cause he is no longer here.

He no longer exists in this world,

only in every other.
