I wrote this poem thinking about my sisters and my imagination. My huge imagination, and I think that more poems should be written like that: using the imagination and things you truly know about.

This is it.

Meet me in our secret place

Meet me in our hiding spot

Where we can trace

Our wildest thoughts

Meet me in our secret place

All the way out by the old oak tree

With a sack of old, silky lace

To cover our faces by that tree

Meet me in our secret place

That place where our imaginations flow

To worlds we never knew we could see face to face

Worlds where life seems like it forever grows

Our secret place is where we’ll go

So we can dance in the moonlit snow

Together, and hand in hand

My sisters and I will dance

Meet me in our secret place

Where joy will stand above that willowy oak

We’ll dress up in our secret place

Long, elegant dresses and short, woolly cloaks

We’ll live forever in that secret place

You and I, we will

We’ll grow old in that secret place

Until our imaginations still

Meet me in our secret place

Meet me in our hiding spot

Where soon we can forever trace

Our wildest, ever-wandering thoughts
