An Astounding Revelation
Peter went away.
He came back the very next day,
Back to the city of London to make his fateful stay.
Why were the streets empty?
Empty throughout the big city,
Peter sat, in silence and began to ponder the solemnity.
Up above was something strange.
Up in the windows did hang,
White dresses that for once the wedding bells rang.
Peter’s head spun.
He started to run;
Into the storm he ran and fell like the beat of a crashing drum.
The dresses swayed in splendor,
As he began to remember,
All the people in the city had raised the white flag of surrender.
