I am born, I am free,
all the light now I can see.
I am here, I am now,
how I shine, look at me.

I can walk, I can talk,
this world is not so dark,
as you told me once it'll be,
I am here, look at me.

I am free, I am wild,
no rules apply to a child,
I can run, I can sing,
give me love, give me wings.

I am young, I have dreams,
I don't care for shouts and screams,
I can rule, I can prove,
I can dance, I can groove.

I am lost, I am cold,
so much to do till I'm old,
I can feel the touch of love,
I am flying like a dove.

Here I fall, here I fail,
I can feel my life derail.
I had once held the stars,
now I cannot count my scars.

I am old, I had to be,
there's so much still left to see.
I can die, and I will,
so I sing till I'm laid down still.
