I have tasted the scent of the mountains

I have heard the colors of the sky

When the nights are long and I am left singing this song

I know I can’t go wrong and I’ll be strong

Ive got a little opium in my pockets

Ive got a little smile on my face

Ive known this long before I wrote this song

My mind will be free like an opium tree

I know it’s a long way and things will go wrong

I know it like a fable I’ve carried along

I am no one’s slave, I am at no one’s mercy

I am just a loner like an opium tree

I

Know the now

I know the how

I know the nature of this place

I know every stranger’s face

I know the power of the winds

I know the meaning of things

I know the signs of the dark

I know the roar I know the bark

I know the chained I know the free

I know the roots of this tree
