In his own footsteps a man shall wallow
Seeking the rhythim of his march
While the music to which he dances
Fades into a life unknown.
A life starved for music
Unsatisfied by the wallowing march
A man seeks the truth behind truth
Marching uniform and straight.
Yet, the path to truth is not
The uniform pounding of feet,
But the graceful curves of an elegant waltz
Or the frenzied steps to a colorful tango.
A man must go beyond his footprint
And see more than the present.
Yet still he will march on.
As he wallows in his footsteps,
As his rhythm becomes one with the world
As his music fades to the unknown.
