This is to my dead rat, Sméagol. I loved her so much. I wrote this poem when she died and buried a version of it with her. I love you Sméagol!

The bitter wind roars a merciless tune;

And pressing clouds hide crescent moon;

Black and white;

Peaceful night;

We both endure the cold;

But now death is upon your shoulders;

An eternal slumber awaits you;

Silent sleep, silent sleep, silent sleep;

Frozen heart, no racing beat;

Now only I endure the cold.
