A sliver; that was all it was. An ailing arc in the night sky, portraying the most minimal of lights, it tried vainly to pierce the clouds that stood before it. It was lashed with a heavy deluge, further dulling its omnipotent glow. Like seeing a light at the bottom of a murky lake, wavering to and fro. The winds seemed to buffet the weakened glow, giving the light a sense of shifting and ebbing, a struggling between two epic forces of nature. The land below sat silent and dreary, bidding its time in hopes of a rekindling of the light. A world wrapped in black velvet, soon to be unveiled.
