written during 3rd period today. I'm an office aid so i can pretty much do whatever I want to during that period. This is what I got.

This took me about an hour and a half to write.

Shallow lies in pools like led

Encased we rise to pay our debts

We fall when it grows too much to take

How easily we humans break.

*

To see life through tired eyes

Is like peering into shattered lives

That fell apart before they were lived

Oh, so much we take, so little we give.

*

When love is abandoned

Death is embraced

So our heavy silence stirs, awakes

Chilling us with it's cold intakes.

*

People say they're out of time

No room left to sample the wine

But they're simply out of faith

They won't believe life's worth the wait.

*

Thrown to the wind, humanity ends

With the twisted truths we all bend

For all of those that quit the fight

I was just like you, I drowned in my lies.
