Delusion

It was in the dark of night

When it came to me with a fright

The eyes would glare

Yet no one was there

Except for my own illusion

The clock was now striking twelve

In the darkness I dare to delve

The eyes became brighter

The fanged teeth were whiter

My mind was the unsound conclusion

The morning was soon now to come

The fear I am hoping is done

But again the eyes drew me

When closer I would soon see

It was my reflection in my seclusion
