One final footstep out-

boarding the last train out-

a depot dimly lit by infinity.

The train whistle breaks

over the starry skies.

Come home at last.

I enjoy train journeys.
A well written poem.

I've only been on a train once. The trip was too short, but I enjoyed the ride. Trains are just another image with many allegories. Thanks for reading, Rob :)

There's something so sad and melancholy about this, L.E. Beautifully written.

Wanting to stay in the realm of familiarity and yet wanting a change, wanting to go to fly away. Caught between a hurricane and a stiff breeze. Thanks for reading, Hullabaloo. :)
