True love is a fire.

Each new minute spent

Together adds

Certainty to last.

I remember clearly

The day I first saw her.

She was smiling,

I was hiding.

Hiding, timid,

Of her prescence,

Her winning smile,

Her melodic laugh.

I was content.

True love is a web,

Of interlaced fates.

As if it's all planned out.

Someone knows it'll work out.

I remember clearly

The day I spoke to her,

For the first time.

I was grinning,

Grinning like a fool;

In her prescence.

She listened to me,

Laughed at my jokes

And smiled at me.

I was overjoyed.

True love is a rollercoaster,

Full of ups and downs.

Be strong, hold on,

Because the person riding with you

Is all you'll ever need.

I remember clearly

The day of our first date.

She came dressed up,

I was stunned,

Stunned, in awe

Of her prescence,

Her beautiful eyes,

Witty sense of humour

And sheer perfection.

I was estatic.

True love is a journey,

Fast paced and exciting

At the start, slower at the end,

But with such wonderful memories.

I remember clearly

The day I proposed.

She said yes.

I was shocked,

Shocked, she bearly thought.

In her prescence,

I was home.

I grew more amazed

With every day.

I was so happy I could die.

True love is like glass,

Beautiful, until it is broken.

Instead of beautiful, the shards are sharp.

You are left scarred; you lost what you treasured.

I remember clearly

The day I lost her.

She lay limp,

I was helpless.

Helpless, ashamed.

Ashamed I couldn't save her.

Her face pale,

Her hands white,

I kissed her softly,

One last time.

I was alone.
