He sighed, running his hands through his hair. It had been a long day. Like usual.

Heh. Funny. He hadn't done anything at all.

Sam wasn't what you'd call a productive person. His sister worked three jobs to keep them both supported while he stayed at home like the useless piece of shit that he was.

He slumped into the sofa, turning on the TV. There was nothing good on, just a couple of cooking shows and old movies from the 70's. Sam sprawled out on the sofa, resting his head on the arm rest. He had gotten very good at sleeping in different places.

Sleeping was the one thing he was good at.

The one thing he couldn't mess up.

The one productive thing he did with his life.

A bitter chuckle left his mouth. But since when did him sleeping help anyone?

Help his sister, who worked so hard for them?

Sometimes, he felt it might be better if he slept forever.

His sister could persue that carrier in IT programming.

One less burden to keep around.

One less Christmas present to buy.

And as his bloodshot eyes closed reluctantly, he couldn't help hoping that he'd die in his sleep.
