If I could paint the world
Which color would I chose?
Of all the blues and yellows
How do you pick the perfect hues?

If I could fill the oceans
My thoughts flow like a sea
Of all the words to pick from
What would purest water be?

If I could feed the hungry
What would I need to grow?
Which corn and beans to use
For my gifts to truly show?

If I could save just one life
Who’s future will I pick?
Which family, friend, or neighbor
Shall never again be sick

If I could change the world
A little at a time
Which problem should I start with
After finishing up this rhyme?

Should I chose to feed the starving
Fill their stomachs the brim?
Should I chose to fill the oceans
In words forever you shall swim?

Should I chose to paint a rainbow
Spirits never to despair?
Should I chose to heal the dying
So damaged bodies shall repair?

So many things to chose from
We must all join in the throng
Only then can we have freedom
And peace shall be our song
