Another stab at poetry. It's about all the things you wish for and how sometimes it's good that they don't come true.

I wish I were a poet
My words would always rhyme
I wish I were a singer
So we could harmonize

I wish I were a dancer
My movements graceful, swift
I wish I were an artist
On canvas colors drift

I wish I were a fighter
Then I never would give up
I wish I were a lover
My heart an overflowing cup

If each wish were a penny
Then I could fill the sea
But if my wishes all came true
I’d be wishing again to be me
