It's about my love for someone, knowing them loving me back but not ever showing it because of the person being afraid to show any emotion of love, coming from a dark past.

Love me as I love you
You tell me I’m ‘hot’ and ‘sexy’
Don’t you realize I find it degrading?
Why can’t you say I’, beautiful?

You never say I love you
But deep down inside
I know you do
Somewhere in that hell you’ve created
Inside yourself, where you never let me in
Would it really kill you?
To say I love you
Or am I just a fool?

When we go out
You love showing me off
To all your college friends
You get jealous when another guy
Looks at me or in my fascinate
You hold my hand and smile
And we dance intimately
In those moments I think
The pain you put me through is worth it
The nagging suspicions
The cold nights
The long days filled with wonder.

When we drive home
You’re drunk and that wall
You surround yourself with crumbles
You speak of your past
And I hold you telling you
It’s in the past forget
Holding your heart in my hands
For a few tender moments
Late at night with only the
Crickets for company.

But the next morning
You’re back to your usual self
You hate yourself
For the so called weakness you showed
And you hate me
For being there.
I never tell you of my achievements
Never of my hopes and dreams
Because were both good
At the same things
You have to excel in them
Much more than I could ever.

I’m talented I know
Put I hide it from you
Knowing it’ll hurt you
Am I a fool?

When you caress me
Your eyes speak
Of the forbidden words
You never speak
It’s not enough for me

When will you accept me?
Let me in and love me?
I love you with every
Fibber of my being
Please try loving me
Before I give up
Before I believe I am a fool
Before I move on
I love you.
