We meet in a whirl wind of waves
And we ‘clicked’ immediately
You held my hand and I felt safe
When you looked my way
A shiver ran down my spin
And my smile so rarely seen
Was plastered upon my face
For all the world to see

Your kisses were sweet and soft
But fiery and passionate as well
And when you kissed the
Hollow of my neck
I would drift away on a cloud
Of ecstasy and belonging

I’ll never forget those tender
Moments we shared
Lost in space and time now
Alive in memory

You swept me off my feet
You were the first to touch
Me in an intimate way
The first to steal my heart
And the first I actually enjoyed
Sharing my company with

But I stand up now
My chin held high
I’ll keep you locked
Safe in my heart

Where no one will pry
And see the love
I lost so suddenly

The lover I wanted
To wake up each morning
The one I wanted to share
My days with
The one deep inside the folds
Of my heart
Locked away safely and securely
Where only I can pry
And wish back the days lone gone
Where my lover still remains.
