You say you love me
And you take care of me
You listen to me
And your there for me

But when you have a bad day
It’s always my fault
You take everything out on me
Because you cant say anything
To darling Dylan

You constantly worry about Dylan
But you never bother to worry about me
When Dylan does something wrong its OK
But God help me if I do

You always shout and accuse me
The more you try bring me to you
The more you’re pushing me away
And you won’t ever realize it
Because your attentions
Are always elsewhere

You call me devious and unruly
But have you ever stopped to ask why?
Have you ever stopped and asked
Yourself why I lie?
You’re always worried about suicidal Dylan
Even though you know
He’ll never make it
You’ll still back him over me

You know I’m the better child
You’ve said it all along
But will never accept it

I love you so much
But you’re teaching me to hate you
By driving me away
And depriving me of
The love you owe me

I’m going to make it
I’m not going to need you
But you need me
Do I want you to need me?

You’re going to lose me
But you won’t notice it
Until I’m gone
Until I have a new life
Until someone else loves me
The way I want to be loved.
