My lips are smiling but my soul is crying,
I’m dying, inside I’m dying slowly
If you look deep into my eyes you would know the reason why.
At first glance I seem like a normal teenage girl,
But if you look deeper there is nothing normal about me!
I’m living with a deep secret that I’m afraid to tell.
I’m smart, I’m beautiful && I’m determined,
I’m not perfect, I make messes, I’m clumsy and sometimes I’m lazy.
I like rap and hip hop, but I also like pop,
I play sports and I like to eat,
I have plenty associates, but not many friends.
I’d rather stay to myself then let anyone in.
Some might look at me and think “she’s got it all” and some might think “she has nothing compared to me”,
I really don’t care what they have to say or think.
They don’t know the truth!
They’ve never walked in my shoes or lived in my skin!
They don’t know what I go through or what I have gone through to get where I’m at,
I’ve worked hard all of my life
I don’t hang out as late or as much as other, but I do just enough
I have a mother but no father; he passed when I was younger.
But at the end of the day who are you to judge my life, when you don’t even know the truth?!
