I was blinded,
By your brightness and colour.
Your city glowed,
Even through lightning and thunder.
And I do not know now,
If I like this place,
 Even the walls wear guilt
Of your lashings and grace.
Your city feels unwelcoming
And I do not want to stay.
Those aren’t the eyes you had before,
Now there just a hurtful grey.
Imprisoned in concrete walls,
There is no alternative.
Your city is unwelcoming
But my city is destructive.
