We were once the perfect couple,
two people brought together by pain
and misery. How could we know that
more pain was to come?

You drifted away from me, little by
little, as if you couldn't bear to hurt
me. Nowadays, I don't think of you
with hate.

I think of what we had as a bittersweet
memory - happiness and pain in equal
measure. I never wanted to lose you,
but I guess that's just the way it goes.

So young and so naive, we wanted to
be together forever, but time and space
made us walk away from love. "Perfect"
couldn't keep us together after all.

We were once the perfect couple,
sharing everything. Now we're just
two friends sharing bittersweet
