Once more she says
goodbye to love, once
again the tears fall
in raindrop form to the
floor. Within each tear
lies a tiny shard of her
soul, coupled with the
love that ended in his
heartbreak. She was a
fool to let him slip away
like the morning mist –
things won’t ever be right
again. There they lie – all
the shards of her heart.
A dark mass of blue-black
silk is all that is left of
her will to live. Her pain
is nothing compared with
her former lover’s unending
heartbreak.
