Never Again!

Poem by: ladygothicka

Summary

Written after listening to Kelly Clarkson. A friend of mine once said "I don't care how you feel" after I explained I have clinical depression. I remembered that quote today after hearing a small child say exactly the same thing to his friend. Brought it back.

You promised me love,
honesty, protection. Where
were you when my tears
fell like rain? Why did
you tell me you didn't
care how I felt? You
can be so cruel sometimes.

I left our friendship,
telling myself that never
again would I trust you.
So why can't I walk
away? Am I still tied
to you, or am I too
weak to leave?

Whatever I do, I
know one thing. I
will never trust you
again.
