She took my looks when she broke my jaw.

She took my dignity when she threw mud in my face.

She took my friends when she told them I was a lesbian.

She took my family when she got me into trouble.

She took my freedom when she bullied me for years/

She took my world when she entered my life.

She took my heart when she laughed at my tears.

She took my pride when she ripped all my books up.

She took my happiness when she broke my flute.

She took everything and gave nothing back.

She was my best friend and my worst enemy,

captivating and yet somehow dangerous.

She was a bully and a practiced double agent.

She took my life, but gave me tools to rebuild it.

Doesn't make what she did any easier to bear,

though, does it?
