The wind

slowly creeps

along the ground

as

fallen leaves

begin

twirl around

Whirling in a vortex

to the sky

cackling

In the twilight

as Halloween arrives

***

The willow

weeps hysterically

into the night

Limbs

tremble

uncontrollably

with fright

***

 as bats

 fly everywhere

above

the cemetery

where

the dead rise up

and leave their stinkin lairs

***

Moaning...groaning

sticks and bonies

wobble, hobble, gobble

 through the night

returning to their graves

in morning light

leaving

nothing but

his hollow head

Halloween is over

and

The Pumpkin Man is dead
