I hear

the

autumn wind

of war

that blows

the leaves

of  amber

to

 my door

begging me

to

let them in

to

save them

from

the cruel wind

that

tore them

from their

 mother's

loving limbs

~~~
 And with her
barren arms
reaching
to the sky
I hear her
 forsaken
 mournful
 cry
as
 she stands
helplessly
rooted
to
 the ground
In horror
as she sees
her children
die
And the leaves
keep
falling
