This is a poem I wrote when I was 16. This poem is about how a person feels when they are facing judgement from someone who doesn't understand them. For me at 16, of course it was my parents, but I think this struggle is ongoing for the rest of our lives with the people we work with or come into contact with.

Look into my eyes...

seeping through time.

Countless hours

have passed by my mind.

Not knowing what to do

or where to go,

you start to get the feeling

you might lose control.

Hold me now

judge me not, for all

the things I've become

are not beautiful.

Stop the glaring

your impurity lies

hidden beneath

your aging eyes.
