A A A

I broke my chain,

If only for to see you awhile.

I bite back the pain,

Cause I can’t see straight.

Ease back to start,

While I sit and contemplate hell.

We’ll call this art,

And maybe we can sell it as well.

Caught in between,

All of our lives.

Didn’t you think,

There’d be punishment for your lies.

Back and forth,

Side to side.

Double down,

Or just let it ride.

You’re gambling with life here,

You better know the risk.

After all we’ve done here,

How can you do this?

You give me hope,

Then you go and take me away.

Twelve knots in a row,

Then you go and tell me you’ll stay.

Top off my glass,

And promise that you’ll see me again.

I’ve saved for last,

The best, so don’t you even pretend.

Lost in between,

Our daily lives.

I’m broken in half,

But that’s just the punishment I’ve… earned.

Back and forth,

Side to side,

Double down,

Or just let it ride.

You’re gambling with life here,

You should have known the risk.

After all I’ve done for you,

How could you do this?
