a poem that seems to go well to the tune of Everclear's Otis Redding... odd and funny how tunes stick in your head.

I remember when we were together,

I remember when we were friends,

I remember when we were lucky,

And I remember where it all ends.

It was a long time ago,

Maybe a year or two at most,

You and me were the best of friends,

Now you treat me like I’m a ghost.

I’d do nearly anything,

Just to see you smile again,

Yes I’d do anything,

Just to be your friend.

I remember when we were together,

I remember when we were friends,

I remember when we were lucky,

And I remember where it all ends.

I remember when we were losers,

We were outcasts in this world,

We were rebels in society,

Just us messed-up boys and girls.

Now were still the same old losers,

But we’re outcast in different worlds,

We’re rebels in different societies,

Us messed-up boys and girls.

I remember when we were together,

I remember when we were friends,

I remember when we were lucky,

And I remember where it all ends.

It ends when you can’t deny the truth,

It ends when I can’t lie anymore,

It ends when we finally agree,

It ends when I walk out the door.

Cause I can’t look at you tonight,

With out thinking of that day,

When I made your life a hell,

When you threw my life away.

I remember when we were together,

I remember when we were friends,

I remember when we were lucky,

And I remember where it all ends.
