Walls.
They exist for a reason, you know.
Tall with barbed wire and
do not trespass signs,
they keep it out,
That pain, that hurt,
leaving you floating in the gray.

Floating along.
It can be quite pleasant, you know.
Tumbling in the waves of the people,
no particular sense of direction,
simply rolling in the world around you,
skimming the surface.

Love.
They say that it's a wonderful thing, you know.
Wrapping up in your other's arms,
calling them yours and you theirs
feeling like you're flying,
never landing, overwhelmed with joy,
creating colors out the gray.

Crash.
It is inevitable, you know.
Falling and falling and falling,
unable to control the spinning and disaster,
whispered words and tears and screams,
wondering why you left the safe gray of your walls
in the first place.
