I miss you but I'm glad you're gone.

well, I took a midnight walk tonight
next thing I know, I'm at your door.
something keeps pulling me towards you.
and it's stupid, I know, since you're not here anymore.
but my bones keep aching for you.

honey, where's your god now?
you told me he could help me, but all I see is red.
I swear I've been to your church,
a thousand times before.

I feel you here with me, your pain still lingers on
and I take another drink of whatever makes it work.

I was sad to see you go, relieved to see you sleep so still.

and I swear you never told me,
your God, he never warned me,

that missing you, would hurt this much.
