When I was 29, I fell in love with this blonde blue eyed girl. Blonde and Blue eyes are my Achilles heel by the way. That goes way back to fourth grade. For the sake of anonymity I’m not going to mention her name. She is probably somebody now and if word got out she once dated me it might ruin her reputation or reduce her credit score….. She was 19, a college girl attending Ole Miss. Had everything going for her, smart with her whole life in front of her. She was so gorgeous and funny with a sense of the world way beyond her years even then… We were good together in every sense of the word. I remember she was the best kisser, like she had taken lessons or something.… Deep down I always wondered what she saw in my ugly ass. I wish now I would have asked her. All my friends wondered the same. When we stood together I looked like a cactus in a rose garden…. Since then I have come to the conclusion there are things in this world that are really just unexplainable. Like why people drink decaffeinated coffee or fish tacos or why that beautiful soul chose me……Life its own self got in our way and we didn’t stay together. That is the sad part of this story. The happy part of the story is that I was given the chance to love her at all… She was truly a gift... I sometimes wonder what happened to her, how she is and if she ever thinks of me…. Sometimes wonder how it might have been, but you can’t go home…

Never be too blind to see the gifts in your life. J

I've read all your work now and, as I have said, your stories are warm and you seem to love life...great.

My favourite is your comedy one. With the lack of humour on this site at the moment we need some bright comedy. I will send a fan request.

You really have a gift as a story teller. Your work is fun to read and you sound like a person everyone would like.
