Autumn petals falling down

Note the grace with which they move.

Silently caress the ground

To breed the world anew.

Softly spoken melodies

Drift slowly through the air,

They mingle with the inner ear

Dancing throughout the hair.

The icy chills crawl up the spine

Gently hugging the neck.

They leave their bumps as a sign,

A symbol of their trek.

The trees stand bare and proud,

A monument of strength,

As time slowly drifts away

Lost in Autumn’s length.
