The last sound I heard you make was the sigh of death.
I can’t bring myself to accept your fate.
You wouldn
t let me be your hope and luck.
No you relied on the number of scars your body could hold.
That blade was your only addiction and you weren
’t a bad person…
But you still hacked your way through life on your body.
It makes me sick.
I couldn’t save you from yourself.
It
’s my worst failure.
Someone tell ME it isn’t my fault.
At first I found it charming…
The one flaw you owned.
Something I could fix and kiss all better.
I tried so hard but you fought like a wild animal.
Now look where it’s landed you.
It makes me sick.
I couldn’t save you from yourself.
It
’s my worst failure.
Someone tell ME it isn’t my fault.
Since you’ve died, I picked up your habit.
Maybe someday I
’ll be like you.
I’ll see you in my next life and love you dearly.
I
ll be sure to kiss your tombstone before I head off to sleep...
Eternally ever after.
