Maybe we should take a break...

I reread the text over and over again as if I were on rewind. I sat stilluntil I felta wetness run down my cheek, a sob soon overcomes my whole body. The people around start to stare and whisper as I sob into my trembling hands. Wiping away all the tearswith an aggressive stroke, I stood up with confidence and quickly pace to the exit. Instantly, I broke into a sprint to reach my car and rage fills me as Iquickly run in the parking lot frantically looking for the bright yellow to catch my eye.

Where did I park?!

Reaching my car, I shove all my belongings in and turn the key in the ignition. Slamming the door, thunder strikes and a shower of heavy rain comes down onto my windshield. With anger blinding my actions, I hardly noticed the other car's bumper and reversed into it, causing the ringing of the car alarm to go off. I quickly ignore the sound and sped out of the parking lot towards my destination. Speeding through the streets, a loud crack of thunder echoes throughout the city. Driving, I think about what mistakes I've made to disappoint my boyfriend and also noticed I miss my turn. I hastily swerve my car and make a u-turn earning the sound of car horns and profane remarks. Racing towards my destination, I come to a stop and park in the driveway of my best friend, Cindy's house. Entering the house with the key she gave me, I immediately hear the sound of my friend's voice. Climbing the stairs quietly, her voice got louder and was paired with another voice. As I reach the top of the staircase I recognize the mysterious voice as my boyfriend, Caleb.

“All this time, I wasn't in love with her. She was too clingy, unlike you; you're the one I want...\" Caleb confessed.

“Well, I can't deny the--\", Cindy trails off.

Silence fills the air as I try to edge closer to the roomto hear their conversation. Reaching the doorway, I spot the two embraced with one another, then an audible gasp is heard. The two separate and stare at me with wide eyes. I hurriedly run out of the house ignoring the shouts of the voices from behind me.Running away from them in frustration the tears started flowing down my cheeks once again. Slamming on the breaks I arrive at my house and hastily burst through the front door. The mirror directly greets me, and I quickly gasp at the reflection. The girl stares back at me with her ruined makeup all over her face and soaked hair. Staring at my reflection, I feel the pain overwhelm me and I turn away and search for my happiness. I smile as I find the steel blade of my pocketknife in my drawers. I take a slice at my wrist and feel the intensity of the cut. Sighing, I continually slice my wrist until the door bursts open, revealing Caleb and Cindy.

\"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE?!\"

\"Please babe, I can explain...\"

\"NO! NO!” I vigorously yell and frantically cover my ears. Cindy quickly comes over and embraces me with a hug.

\"DON'T TOUCH ME!\"

The rage finally consumed me and blinds me of my actions. I stab her heart and hear the sound of surprise from Cindy. Dropping to the floor, I find Caleb; he stands there speechless and looks in a frantic daze to escape the clutches of his killer. I run towards him and I quickly penetrate the blade through the skin between his head and his shoulders. A grin begins to appear on my face as the eye’s of my ex lover begin to lose life. Caleb soon drops to the floor with a thud. Looking into the blank stare, I give him a kiss as I remove the blade from his neck.

\"Do you love me now?\"
