A Path Changed
I can hardly see the sky
For the mist that engulfs me;
Sprawled around my mind,
In front of my eyes, hazing threateningly.
It appears to have
No conscience,
Few worries,
Undetectable fears.
Unlike me and my life;
So cluttered with panic,
Spaced nicely with bombs,
Troubles, pressures, strife.
I shy from questions,
Giving reasons, opinions.
For little else seems to
Make me spin other
Than making some
Sense out of all this
Din.

How the rhythm came to fall
How I surrendered to this mayhem
Why my peace was kidnapped
Is only known by them.
Those hearty downers must rave
In my previous organisation
Lovingly ride on my tide of calm
(No waves, like now, to seriously harm!).

To wake and be fresh,
Stiff, brazen and sweet
Is no longer mine
But an unreal treat.

For fate who decided who decides what can be
Should give positive warning of negativity!
