well, its a song I've written about a few people I know, and we all went through the same stuff and are all overcoming it.

This is the story of a girl
who cried a river then burned the world
she sold her heart to the guy next door
but i guess this is a story you've heard before.
she fell in love at the age of 15,
gave everything to him, as stupid as this seems
he was 17, a beautiful boy.
she was just a child and was merley his toy.

He hurt her bad
and shut her down
now shes

locked in her mind
trapped behind the curtains
in the pantomime.
one thing is for certain.
he loves her not,
she loves him more
but he just showed her
to the door.

Her whole world starts falling apart.
Nothing compared to the pain in her heart.
Sitting alone in her room forever.
She doesnt give a damn about the weather.
One rainy winters night,
she went and grabbed a knife.
Her scars are now her badge of honour,
Still traumatized by the horror
of what happened when she was 15
The numbing pain was strangely uplifting.
He hurt her bad
and shut her down
now shes

locked in her mind
trapped behind the curtains
in the pantomime.
one thing is for certain.
he loves her not,
she loves him more
but he just showed her
to the door.

20 years old the girl is in love
with a boy who makes her happy.
They're expecting child number one
Soon their vow will be done.
she doesnt wish her pain on anyone else,
Shes left it on the shelf
she was
locked in her mind
trapped behind the curtains
in the pantomime.
one thing is for certain.
he loves her not,
she loves him more
but he just showed her
to the door.
Now shes
free to fly,
opened the curtains
in the pantomime,
one thing is for certain.
he loves her more
and she loves him equal.
you'll get through it
just like we did.
Just like we did...
