I was sitting out on my porch last night and was thinking just this...
I also think I made up a new poem form!
first two lines rhyme. next three rhyme. next three rhyme. next two rhyme. last line stands on its own! AAbbbcccAAD rhyme scheme! Did anyone invent it yet? I'm claiming it if they haven't! The Laurel Form... haha, I like it!

I found myself on the porch again tonight

Something about the sky's lack of light

/./

Entrances me

These stars I see

Madden me

/./

The rain that falls tonight

Envelop me and erase my fright

This is where I go when I have no one to turn to at night

/./

This is where my thoughts linger

When I am alone and fireflies land on my finger

/./

But the silence is deafening
