Inspired randomly by an old picture in my room...

It comes pouring through the windows
Like waterfalls of light
I smile at you beside me
As you hold my hand so tight
We both don’t know what we are doing
But somehow we will make it right
We made mistakes, I can admit
But that was all last night

People here surround us
Bustling to and fro
We are stuck in a crowd of thousands
But you promised you won’t let go
Not now, not ever
You continue to hold me close
There are so many destinations
Where we are going, I do not know

Reality seeps into the picture
It is something I reject
I see I am in a different time
But it has no effect
There is a feeling in my gut
That would bring me down except
You are happy, so I am happy
But why exactly I can not recollect

A constant noise follows us
I can hear the people carrying on
The trains coming into the station
You say it won’t be long
I look at the floor because I know
That soon you will be gone
When I wakeup from this dream
We will both be where we belong
