My fingers slid over the ivory keys, with careful joy as gentle harmonies filled the room. Lightly, delicately the melody developed into a tune of more passion and more heartfelt memories. Effortlessly gliding across the keys changing from deep under laying tones to light graceful notes in a matter of seconds. The sound was quite eloquent, and although the same melody was repeated, it never quite sounded the same. The pressure at my finger tips of the cold keys was relaxing, not to say that my fingers played the same key for more than a heartbeat.

The melody picked up pace as once again, the notes fell into deep passionate tones, rising and falling, like your chest as you slept. Each memory filling my head, with you in my mind. Seeing the innocence in your eyes and the gentle blush present on your cheeks made me smile.
"You'll never catch me!" you had giggled, running behind a tree, your hair flying over your shoulders as you glanced back to see if I was in pursuit and, as always, I was.
"I'll catch you! I promise!" I had yelled in reply, following you, but you had already gone. Again. You were just so invisible, I never knew where you went, ever.
"Come back! Where are you?" I yelled out, in hope, my eyes vigorously scanning my surroundings.
"I'm right here, don't worry." you whispered in my ear, but by the time i had turned, you had already evaded my sight. I turned, each step with caution, as though I was expecting some horrible surprise to jump out on me as I twisted.
"I'm here!" you said, wrapping your arms around me, as i turned and smiled at the satisfaction of having you in my arms again. Safe.
"Good!" I smiled, edging forever closer to you.
"I love you." you whispered, like you were scared.
"I love you too." I had replied.

For the first time in a while, I hit the wrong ivory key and slowly, the harmonies crept into dark notes and minor scales. The white ivory keys which were first played, turned forever darker, duller, until they were black, each note sounding sadder than the first. My mind, on you again, but of the memories I wished were only bad dreams. We didn't talk anymore and it was all falling apart.
"Where have you been?" I questioned.
"Nowhere." You replied, your speech slurred again.
"Where have you been? We had plans!" I replied, disappointed, but i wondered why I'd expected you to remember.
"What's the point in asking? You already know!" you yelled back, stumbling past me. Yes i knew exactly where you'd been. Exactly, and no, it wasn't out drinking with your friends.
