x's on calendar squares suffocate.
the steady trail leads to the
finish line of departure.
but i've come to realize
that revolutions on a clock
or inches on a map have no effect.
we are always the same interval
or distance apart.

in simple terms,
hate and love balance
each other out to
form indifference,
and no matter how
hard it is tried,
frayed ends can never be repaired.

today and tonight
are the same as any other,
so, bury me,
let me go to sleep.

i'm finally finished.

LL.

"Love is natural and real, but not for you, my love, not tonight my love
Love is natural and real, but not for such as you and I, my love"
