My poem titled "The Criticised Woman" is written in the poetic
format of a modern sonnet which consists of 14 lines.

The poem is about an ordinary woman of society who works as a
cleaner as her occupation.
She like many women in the world is judged by the type of duty
which she holds than rather her potential merit.

Above this crisis-none of them barely realize that this is a
woman with high morals-one who is willing to give up her savings
by feeding the poor before she feeds her own stomach.

\"The Criticised Woman\"

A maiden she was called but a maiden she was not Swept the cottage floors with a long wooden broom Did her regular chores of hard labour on the spot Never gave into thinking she was guaranteed for doom In life being labelled all sorts of baggage names Her spirit was always noble to go forth another mile Lady who prepared dishes for Dukes and for Dames

Could see her walking gently on her own golden isle Wore a black headscarf and a white cotton apron Peaceful in her own mind, her heart was always so alive Rested after much work to work the following dawn Folks were often jealous for she certainly did thrive Beyond the kitchen cleaning and the cutlery setting This lady built an orphanage, young hearts she was mending
