You walked into the court hall staring at the people around you.

And of course you did something wrong, that's why you're there isn't it? You were wrong to have shown too much skin. You were wrong to have dressed so amazingly. You were wrong to look so good.

And there you have seated a few places away from you, the person who brought you to justice, the person who took your virginity. The person who let you know that this is the punishment for all the crimes you have committed. And with every justice reclaimed, there is that sense of satisfaction. Yes, you remember, him saying oh yes.

Life was a lie. Everything was. "Oh she's gonna grow up beautiful so everyone will like her." "Oh your daughter so pretty definitely can marry early, don't worry, you'll get a child in no time." These weren't lies per se, they were true. Her parents were expecting a child soon from her. And yes everyone liked her, and that's how she landed in this sticky situation.

But the lie was that "Love is pure", that "Love is not lust", and that "Love is between two people in mutual agreement and acceptance" or so preached the world.

Then came the next lie, as the man, whose rough fingers you could still feel under your 3 layers of clothing, placed his hand on the holy book, repeating the words "I swear by the Almighty God that the evidence that I shall give, will the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth".

And so he got a lighter sentence, a fine, and a week in jail, before he could get out and serve justice once more.
