How do we defeat Sin?

We are told to give it up...

What does that mean?

How do I pass this cup?

I am so weary from this war,

It's not that I disobey...

I just can't stop this addiction,

I can't stand feeling this way...

Constantly falling short,

Missing the mark every time...

Too Guilty to repent,

I am as speechless as a mime...

It's to the point of ultimate defeat,

Who cares about comfort anymore?

Steam storms from my ears,

I cannot look up furthermore...

This storm is out of control,

It destroys my sheltered residence...

I stand and watch,

I have lost all his presence...

Blood runs down my hands,

A hammer lies at my feet...

Satan emerges from behind me,

Laughing at my defeat...

He hands me three nails,

Reluctantly, I take them...

Every thought and emotion considered,

As Satan points his finger at him...

I look at this battered man,

His eyes, so full of peace...

I hesitate...heart racing!

Every movement in my body starts to cease...

This trampled, innocent man,

Stares at me, nodding his head...

I'm confused, questioning his commands,

For he wishes to be dead...

How could he desire this?

Satan pushes me towards the mission...

I turn and run away,

No human could possibly make this decision...

Suddenly, my eyes are opened,

I return to reality...

My body numb to the extreme,

Feeling like I suffered an extreme fatality...

My feet hit the ice cold floor,

Delirious, I walk outside for air...

Instead of sunshine, I'm greeted with darkness,

This awakening for me is rare...

Terrified by this dream,

I walk back into my chamber...

A sudden presence falls upon me,

I am now aware of this unholy danger...

For as I look upon my bed,

The same hammer from my dream...

The nails upon the floor, dripping with blood,

What coul this possibly mean?

I couldn't have murdered that man,

I thought I ran away from that scene?

Was it...real?

I can't believe what I am seeing...

A scribbled note lies with these weapons...

I now know this was no illusion...

Satan signed his name to his retreat,

I smile, understanding this Clarified Confusion...
