What is the opposite of condemnation? Redemption? Salvation? In this personal testimony of mine, we will find out what is feels like to be completely redeemed...without deserving it.

The Cold Air brushes against my face,

My eyes Glazed from the Misty breeze…

I stare up into the Heavens,

As I am motionless upon my knees…

Emotions are dry,

My heart is heavy with Chains…

My addictions clasp me once again,

I fear that nothing can clean my stains…

Hindrances are my obstacle,

Yet they feel never ending…

I couldn't have failed any bigger,

For my fatal status is now pending…

 Unfaithful deeds never cease,

My guilt is as high as my regret…

Possibility of a savior is now gone,

No chance of covering my sinful debt…

My tears now replace the Cold air,

Self-control lacks like my hope…

My flesh has jumped over the edge,

As I am clueless on how to cope…

In the midst of being surrounded by sorrow,

A mysterious hand grasps my shoulder…

In a daze of confusion I look up,

To find that my grief is becoming colder…

With a faded smile upon his shining face,

He lays a towel across the floor…

He then helps me up to a seat,

Realizing I have seen this man before…

Removing the covering of my feet,

I can hear the sound of the water hit the bowl…

A silent tear falls down my cheek,

As a comforting comes over my soul…

His garment reads grace,

His eyes reveal mercy…

He places my feet in the water,

My emotions come back as my master serves me…

I know what’s happening,

My mind plays no game…

My cries turn to sobbing,

As I wonder why he came…

He washes my feet slowly,

He rushes no time…

These questions enter my head,

It’s almost as if he can read my mind…

No Words are needed,

He wipes my slate clean…

I see the tears now in HIS eyes,

The servitude shown by my Great King…

With flooded eyes he looks up,

For my heart alone was he defending…

He embraces me to end his notion,

 To end My Undeserved Cleansing……..

Thanks Grace! I wrote that poem during a terrible time in my life, and I was reminded once again of the Grace Christ has given us and how we don't deserve it...but his love for us is so great that is covers all of my sin. The more I fall in love with Christ the more I realize his grace abounds. Be sure to share with others if it touched you in a positive way!

I really like the humbleness in your wording of service to the Lord. A great poem. Thanks for your boldness to share. :)
