when I lie down will I fade away,

will they still talk of my day to day,

for how long will they keep me close, in their thoughts and their love and their joyful boasts,

will my deeds last long at all, I expect at most just until, they, in turn, fall.

then I set out to make myself eternal,

by recording my thoughts for all to see, to like, to love, to hate, to disagree,

but at least I will remain,

to be.
