I hope for forgiveness

Poem by: leeleenewell99

Summary

I have lost faith in religion. The wars over who has the right god or gods. I say what a non-believer like me thinks.

I have lost faith in religion

Not one of the lord’s children

I hope for forgiveness

Not thinking on Christmas

If you are truly all knowing

You will know I am showing

I dislike the fighting of belief

The war starting and grief

Don’t think I do not care

The colours my heart wear

Hanging from chain on neck

My ticket god will one day check

I wear not for starting a battle

Not for waging a war, to rattle

Rattle for everyone to see that

I a non-believer sees stupidity in combat
