In a dream like haze

Where memories live

There was always You

My friend.

And I remember a wonderment

In a time that

Cannot live again

The echoing sounds of laughter,

A sharing of hearts true matter.

There was always you.

Though neither eye nor soul

Could foresee the breaking of bond

In such a regretful day.

Bitter acceptance faded as none

As the time had come

To show what may.

So far our paths have taken,

Today I remember You

What my heart deeply misses

A memory which refuses

To be forgotten.
